Dance styles in the early 20th century ranged from the Russian-folk-dance-influenced ballet of Stravinsky痴 The Firebird to the foxtrot and the Charleston of Gatsby痴 roaring 1920s. Guest conductor Susan Davenny Wyner juxtaposes these dances with two powerful works: Verdi痴 Overture to La forza del destino (The Force of Destiny) and Beethoven痴 final piano concerto, the 摘mperor,� which features pianist Ran Dank, lauded by The New York Times for his 鍍echnique, imagination, and powerhouse pianism.�
